Kim Kapes

Born in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, Kim received her bachelors’ degree from Susquehanna University in 1990. She studied psychology with an emphasis on learning and behavior. Kim moved to Virginia where a career as a firefighter gave her the opportunity to train in emergency animal rescue. She became certified in that field and eventually relocated to Florida.

Kim is a recommended “Dog Listener” having traveled to England to certify with the renowned “Dog Listener” and author Jan Fennell. Kim is the owner of Wolf Song K9 Relations and she has helped companion dogs and their owners as well as rescue dogs from across the country. She is currently helping owners and their dogs in Orlando Florida.

Kim spent time working with zoo animals to gain further experience and in addition to her canine relations work she is the director of “In Harmony with Nature” animal haven. Her nonprofit organization is dedicated to helping animals in need. Plans are in the making for future expansion of the rescue to facilitate greater education, conservation, awareness, rehabilitation, and to be able to place more animals in loving homes.
